It's time to make building a website simple - not to mention free.
Lifeyo is a new, Southern California-based startup that is on a mission to make polished, professional websites accessible to anyone. We do it with easy-to-use tools that work fast and require little know-how: One-touch publishing, drag-and-drop editing, and pixel-perfect web design templates make Lifeyo simple, yet extraordinarily powerful.
Our job is empower real people to do more with the Internet. And while we're at it, we're going to make it fun.

Who is Lifeyo?
We're just a handful of dedicated people in a tiny office space near the beach. When we're not building Lifeyo you can find us surfing, taking photos, and riding motocross.
We love building clean, easy-to-use web applications for real people with real needs.

Mike Kai CEO & FounderMike lives and breathes the Lifeyo user interface. He loves dreaming up easy-to-use features and spending hours in Photoshop moving pixels to perfect the user experience. Mike has always followed his vision of what’s next and what’s fun. While at Yale University, he wrote his senior thesis on Facebook when Mark Zuckerberg was still inviting college students to join from the comfort of his dorm room. In 2004, Mike rallied and led an enthusiastic “Harvard Pep Squad” to massive prank victory on foreign Cambridge soil. His startup, Scape Networks Inc. won the Yale Entrepreneurial Society's Y50K Competition in 2005. Mike’s experience includes working as Project Manager for Real Networks’ Rhapsody Music Service and building a social networking platform for Teach For America. Since 2007, Mike has been pursuing his crazy dream, Lifeyo. |

Ryan May Systems DesignerWhen not restoring a classic 1967 Mustang, Ryan loves to create elegant solutions to complex programming problems. Dreams of inescapable code sometimes blanket him in his sleep. He specializes in developing features from a user’s perspective and has many years of experience building dynamic web applications. Ryan has a PHP tattoo on his right arm and holds a degree in Information Technology from Carleton University. |

Whats is it made with?
Mac or PC, we love them all. Lifeyo is built with Django, a high-level Python Web framework. There is lots of Javascript and JQuery which make Lifeyo work dynamically like a real desktop application.

Where are you from?
We’re surrounded by water on both sides in the heart of an old shipbuilding structure. Fortunately, if there is ever a major tsunami, in our office are several flotation devices including a small inflatable boat, several surfboards, and Ryan’s water wings.
Newport Beach, CA is where we call our operations home.
