The Platypus
January 8th, 2009
It's been a good day here at Lifeyo HQ. What started as a simple project evolved into months of pondering, designing, and tweaking. But today all the hard work has paid off.
I present you with:
THE PLATYPUS

For the initiated, this is a hull-design inspired 5' 8" shaped by yours truly, with the much-needed help of several craftsman from Russell Surfboards. This is my first attempt at the board-building process. To say the least, it was a rewarding experience that left me with a humbled perspective on the amount of work and attention to detail necessary to complete a board.
Some photos from the build:

Special Thanks goes to Russell, Dove, and Ryan for helping at every stage of the build process!
