How To: Add a Google Map

Add a Google Map on your page to show a specific location on a map. Read on to learn how to grab the Google Maps embed code and add the map to your page.

Find a Place on Google Maps

If you have a location in mind, first open up a new browser window go to the Google Maps website. Go to www.GoogleMaps.com. Type in your place of interest and click "Search Maps".

Grab Embed Code

After clicking "Search Maps", your place of interest will appear in the map window. In the upper right corner of the map, click on "Link". In the new box that appears underneath, right-click and copy the code under "Paste HTML to embed in website" (or File>Copy in your browser menu).

If you wish to customize the size of the map, click on "Customize and preview embedded map", and in the pop-up window, select a size, and copy the code provided at the bottom of that window.

Add Code to Page

Back to your Lifeyo page, click on "Add Code" in the top toolbar.

Paste the code you copied from Google Maps in the white box and click on "Add Code".

Your map will appear on your page right away! You can always repeat the first two steps if you wish to show a new place or change the map size and replace the code (double-click on the object or click on "Edit" in the tab above the object).
