Upgrade to a Domain You Own
If you'd like to use a domain name you've already registered from a company like GoDaddy or Register.com, you can do so easily by following the directions below.
NOTE: If you do not have a domain name already, Lifeyo can register one for you! Check out our tutorial on how to upgrade to a NEW domain name by clicking here.
It's free to connect a domain that you own already. Just make sure to choose the "connect domain name" option and let us know the domain you wish to connect.
Next, you need to log into your registrar (i.e. GoDaddy) to make a change to the "A Record" Replace the existing record with ours: 70.86.136.162
Most, if not all registrars provide the ability to change an A Record at no charge.

Network Solutions Instructions
Step 1: Log into your account at Network Solutions. Then click the "My Domain Names" link.
Step 2: Click the "Edit Advanced DNS Records" link.
Step 3: Click "Edit A Records"
Step 4: Replace all entries with the Lifeyo A Record: 70.86.136.162
Step 5: Click the "Edit Advanced DNS Records" link.
That's It! It may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours in order for the connection to complete. If you're having trouble, please contact your domain registrar and/or send us a support request.
Register.com Instructions
Step 1: Log into your account at Register.com Then click the domain you wish to connect.
Step 2: Scroll down and click the "Edit IP Address" next to the A Record line.
Step 3: Replace existing entries with the Lifeyo A Record: 70.86.136.162
Step 4: After making the changes, click "Continue" to save them.
Step 5: Click the "Edit Advanced DNS Records" link.
That's It! It may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours in order for the connection to complete. If you're having trouble, please contact your domain registrar and/or send us a support request.
GoDaddy Instructions
Step 1: Log into your GoDaddy Account and click the "My Account" button on the right side.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, find the domain you wish to connect and click it.
Step 3: You should be now viewing your domain details. Find where it says "DNS Manager" and click on the "Launch" link.
Step 4: First, click on the existing A Record. The number should now become editable. Replace the old number with the Lifeyo A Record: 70.86.136.162. Then click the "Save Zone File" button.
That's It! It may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours in order for the connection to complete. If you're having trouble, please contact your domain registrar and/or send us a support request.
Upgrade to a NEW domain name
LIFEYO makes it easy to upgrade your site to a professional and easy-to-remember domain name of your choosing. Your unique domain name is what people can type to find your site. Instead of "http://your-site-title.lifeyo.com", you can have "yourname.com" for example.
When you purchase a domain name through Lifeyo, we will automatically connect it to your website. You will be the owner of the domain name and can manage it with our partner, Register.com.
Step 1: Find the Upgrade to Domain Name Button
You can upgrade your website to a domain name when you are editing your website or when you are viewing your Dashboard. Here's what it looks like when you are in the Editor:

Step 2: Check Domain Name Availability and Enter Billing Information
To upgrade to a domain name, click on the "Publish" button in the upper right corner of the top toolbar.
Type in a domain name in the text field box then click "Check Name" to see if it is available. If the one you want isn't available, try a different domain name or choose a different type of domain (.com, .net, .org).
In the checkout are that appears, enter your contact and billing information. Make sure to enter a valid email address -- payment receipts and important domain registration details will be sent to this email.
Confirmation
After purchasing a domain name, you will receive an email confirming your domain name upgrade and details.
